Some Beach time!

We stopped at two Greek Islands, Corfu and Argostoli.
Both places had beautiful, clear water and wonderful beaches.

This is "Golden beach" on Corfu.
The kids said this was their favorite beach.

The water was very clear and calm.  You didn't even need a snorkel to see the fish, they would swim right up into the shallows.  It was pretty fun, and felt completely safe for the boys.
Anya developed a love for snorkeling when we went to Hawaii.
She was very excited to do it again while on our cruise.
All my kids love a good beach!
It stayed shallow a ways out, Jack liked to push the limit!

Hunter preferred playing in the sand.
This trip he discovered the joy of being buried on a beach.
Hannah built a sand castle...or creation as she says, without even a bucket to use.

The next beach we went to was on the island of Argostoli....
It was a very different beach, but still felt safe for the kids.
There was a bit more of a surf here, and Jack developed a love for body surfing.
He loved to let the current wash over him and bring him to shore.
dare devil kid!
Although there was more of a surf here, the water was still amazingly clear.  Anya got some more snorkeling in, and all the girls dived for some pretty amazing shells.
While at Argostoli we took a boat ride to an underground cave...or grotto.
it is called Melassani Lake

The pictures don't do it justice, but the water was this deep, gorgeous sapphire blue.
It was a pretty neat place to see.
Man, we want to go back to the beach!!
