Before heading to Utah for Christmas, we opted to have our own little Christmas celebration early. So, on the morning of Dec. 23, the kids came downstairs and got to open gifts from us and each other.

The girls are always pleased to be able to open gifts before Christmas!
Hunter's first present. He actually ripped off a little bit of paper...he has a very strong grip!
More opening...let the festivities begin!

Jack's first gift. He wasn't as interested in the paper as his brother. He is more laid back, and less intense. He played it very cool!

Next year we have opted to spend Christmas at home, and then travel to Utah a few days after. It was a hard decision, we felt like we should visit as often as we have the chance. Plus we have NEVER missed a Christmas with family, when we have lived away from Utah. However, I got a memo from Santa, and he is tired of hauling our gifts to places that aren't our home. I think, with 5 kiddos, it is time to let him deliver the goods to our house...instead of asking for extra favors! We will see how it goes, and what the year brings. For now, as it stands, we will have a "good, old-fashioned, Jeppson Family" Christmas next year right here at home!

Santa orders things online and send them to where ever we will be then we just have to take it home.
Lydia- our santa does that too...but not everything is available online, plus in past years there have been some mix ups...
